Death, sex, beauty, sadness and truth all intersect in the world of Wallow, a custom and bespoke accessories brand that was created out of the desire to make truly dramatic, one-of-a-kind peices of "art to wear" with a definitively dark edge. Each piece of Wallow accessories is unique onto itself. They are made by hand with locally sourced materials, found peices, and created in a studio in an industrial section of East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Most of the bags, clutches or otherwise are one or two of a kind depending on the availability of components guaranteeing the wearer an exclusive experience with their specific piece or pieces. Inspiration comes from the bleaker realms of human existence and corners of the mind, but also from NYC's frenetic energy, underground music and ever changing street style.

The Story of Wallow
The word Wallow can have a broad meaning. It can mean to submerge yourself in arcane delights of this world, descend into depths of despair or consume yourself with the mysteries of existence. My goal was create wearable objects of dark beauty that encompass aspects of all of these. Using my background in apparel and visual design fields, I focused my creative process on making something that served multiple purposes - I wanted my accessories to be esoterically fashionable, functional, timeless and trend defying. Playing with silhouette and contrasting textures & surfaces are an important part of what I wanted to create - layers of interest. Both 3 dimensional in concept and in "reality". Using semi gloss studs, matte rubber, high gloss components, and fabrics such as sturdy, thick felt and soft, heavy twill, I came up with a group of accessories that reflected my vision. Once I had perfected my construction, fabrications, and field tested my creations on the streets of New York City, it was time to share them with the world. Wallow was born.
